Crystals are changing in both the power and energies of them; they are growing
both stronger and touching into different areas than they had before. Crystals that have
been given a specific meaning before 2008 have added many dimensions that are
not in any of the current Crystal books.
Moki Marbles (Moqui
Marbles)
Moki marbles have long been used as a shamanic stone. It brings knowledge and
deepening of ancient ways. Moki marbles often have a slight magnetic charge,
and they stimulate chi. they may be used to contact your animal spirits,
totems, and guides, and to aid in shape shifting. They help a great deal with
grounding and centering. Physically they are beneficial for the veins,
arteries, muscles and immune system. They have a protective quality and are
useful for protection against psychic attacks and other unbalancing forces. Mokis are made from an iron meteorite impact into sand, and are
literally "splash" drops of hematite-coated sand and iron. Slightly
magnetic, Moqui (Moki) Balls were believed by some Native American cultures to
assist in shamanic journeys. These Moqui (Moki) Balls are from Utah.
Use Moqui (Moki) Balls to heighten psychic abilities, and for astral travel.
Moqui (Moki) Balls also shield against unwanted psychic influences, and can be
used with the Third Eye Chakra.
(They are not a Concretion, they have Magnetic PULSES to
each other, NO Concretion has this!)

Seed Crystals from the White Lady of Brandburg.
These Quartz crystals are some of the most rare crystals
that have every been found, they have an energy that is focused on the 3rd eye,
Crown Chakra and the Chakras that are above the physical head; my experience
with them has been that they open up Jacob’s ladder or the DNA Gateway to God,
in very dramatic ways. I was called to go to Africa in
2003, and I do mean called every day I heard the dessert calling me and at
times could smell it; I spent 2 months in South
Africa and Namibia,
and found many wondrous things waiting for me. When I 1st handled these
crystals a feeling of warmth in my head occurred then filled my body, turning
into a gradual higher vibrational heat that not only caused sweat but set the
Kundalini to rising; it was a well balanced occurrence not some overwhelming
out of control experience. My senses become heightened and things appeared
brighter then iridescent, taking on a more expanded and natural spiritual look
and feel to them; I have experienced this from deep meditation as well as when
I was initiated into Yoga by my Guru, who is in the Kriya Yoga Linage.
I have held these crystals back from the market place
until I knew that people were ready for them, this has been almost 5 years of
waiting; now is the time they are needed and I have gotten clear guidance to do
so now. I have a very limited amount of them, a few single loose crystals and
maybe 50 small clusters of them; they are small and very unusual in their
formations, the way they are formed is a regular hexagonal 6 sided crystal body
that comes to a termination tip, then it goes into a very fine thin extension
that ends in a bulb with a fine termination tip, somewhat
like a Scepter on the very end of them. They are about 1 to 2 inches in length
and maybe 8 mm in diameter.
A few have Amethyst in the bulb and tip, the sizes of
clustered groups range from about a US dime size to a few being the size of a
Silver dollar, most are around Quarter to Fifty Cent sized. These crystals are
still not for everybody as they will produce dramatic shifts in your life and
body, we still have many who are clinging for dear life to Worldviews that have
been outdated for many years now; most continue to rely on someone coming along
and fixing everything for them.
We are in the Earth changes and they will not stop, anyone
looking with open eyes and a knowing heart feels this, hears it and see’s
it. These little power houses of
crystalline encapsulated light, will help further anyone’s journey into and
through the higher realms of life. These crystals are part of a program of
light left to us by the peoples of Lemuria, all who are drawn to them will find
great mystery unveiled and may well remember past lives of a profound nature;
their sense’s will be heightened and new forms of awareness will awaken from
within, leading to treasures unguessed even by the most advanced crystal
people. The White Lady is a cave wall drawing that some have dated over 20,000
years ago; it is located in the Brandburg Mountain range of Namibia (South West
Africa), and is in the land called Damaraland. This is the area where the San
people live, they are considered the oldest know people on Earth or the Genetic
Adam of mankind. You may look at the painting and find more information at
these links provided below; I walked this land and can speak from experience that
it is a gateway zone to the OLD past of ours much like the Anasazi Pueblos in
the 4 Corners area of the US Southwest.

Quantum Quattro
Silica™
Rock & Gem
Magazine Article October, 2000
Reprinted with
permission of Rock & Gem Magazine and Miller Publishing Company
By Laurence Hargrave
Naming any new mineral or rock in the lapidary world is an
uncommon occurrence and an honor that rarely, if ever, comes to a very few
people today. I have had that honor four times so far in my career in the
lapidary and mineral world. Quantum was the first and surely the most colorful
and rare. By the time naming this new beauty occurred, I had given up the
naming dream, as I had finally grasped the rarity of something new with no name
being found and not having a name placed on it by the person or people who found
it. Serendipitously, it both came into my possession with no name as of that
time, and was offered to me to market in North America.
I tried to get a number of "famous" and well-known gem and mineral
folks to name it, but to no avail for many different reasons. So it came down
to naming it or having no name for it. It was a long and interesting process
finding the name that fit this stone just right.
What a name "Quantum Quattro Silica™ " is,
but then again what a wild & beautiful rock it is also. From just plain
rough to a cut and polished item, it shows wonderful bright Medium Blues, dark
Royal Blues, deep Forest and light Pastel Greens like no other rock found so
far. Quantum Quattro Silica™ is a rock that is composed of these minerals: #1.
Medium Blue CHRYSOCOLLA (Cu,Al)2H2Si2O5(OH)4·nH2O (monoclinic) with a hardness of 2 to 4 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, #2. Royal
Blue SHATTUCKITE Cu5(SiO3)4(OH)2 (orthorhombic) with a hardness of 3.5 to 4 on
the Mohs Hardness Scale, #3. Forest Green DIOPTASE CuSiO2(OH)2 (triagonal) with
a hardness of 5 on the Mohs Hardness, #4. Clear and Smokey QUARTZ SiO2
(trigonal) with a hardness of 7 on the Mohs Hardness, #5. Pastel Green
MALACHITE Cu2CO3(OH)2 (monoclinic) with a hardness of 4 on the Mohs Hardness -
4 Silica’s and 1 Carbonate. With Quartz involved, the hardness of the other
minerals tends to go up as the quartz mixes with them, such as what happens in
Blue Gem Silica (Chrysacola in Quartz) which becomes quite hard and cuttable.
With these five minerals combined together, you have Quantum Quattro Silica™,
which is the only rock found so far that contains all five together in any
large marketable quantity. In Arizona's
Copper mines, these combination's of stone have been found in small amounts and
generally with even more minerals present than in this combination. One is
Katanganite, which can have as many as 20 different minerals present in it.
Never has a large quantity been found to my knowledge, and I have spent some
considerable time researching this information.
As you would imagine, saying all of the minerals involved in
Quantum is a bit of a long and cumbersome mouthful, so a name had to be placed
on it for the sake of expedience alone if nothing else. The first samples of
Quantum were delivered to me in the September 1996 Denver Gem & Mineral
show by a wonderful friend and supplier from Africa,
Euan Cameron, (now sadly deceased). He, as well as myself, was not sure what to
call it, nor how well it would cut or polish. I agreed to have some of the
samples cut, and if they turned out to be as nice as we both hoped they would
be, our company would handle the sales and marketing of it. The samples came
back better than expected, and so the first tons of it were ordered for the
February 1997 Tucson Gem and
Mineral show. However, we still had not come up with a name for marketing it,
which as you probably know is the first part of the marketing process. When the
shipment came in to us during the show, a friend who is a dealer and a
mineralogist, (David----------), and I looked and talked and talked and looked
at the piles and piles of this wildly patterned blue and green rock that I had
everywhere. When our staff or I spoke to someone about it, you could see we
were losing them by the 3rd mineral name used. After some days, David said
"Quattro Silica, 4 Silica’s and a Carbonate", then he promptly left
me to ponder this weird name, as he had to go back to his busy room down the
row from ours. I shortly had the thought of Quantum, as in Quantum leap, which
in a dictionary says "an abrupt change, sudden increase, or dramatic
advance". Since this rough rock did such dramatic abrupt color changes,
and it fit with Quattro so well, it seemed to me to fit.
I then went on a whirlwind trip across the
Tucson Show strip, talking to cutters, dealers, mineralogists, gemologists,
geologists, collectors and anyone who had seen a large amount of rough rock and
specimens, asking two questions: 1. Have you ever seen this combination of
minerals in one rock before?, and 2. What do you think of the name? The answer
to the first question was no, except for one person who had seen a ½ kilo piece
of this same rock while in Namibia many years before; but no one was ever able
to get more of it for him, no matter what price he offered them for it. The
answer to the second question ranged from "It's OK." to "Man,
that really rings together", with over 70% telling me to run with it and
bring it to market as it will cut really great color combination's. Quantum has been found in only one location on
the planet to date, which is in the Kalahari Desert
region of Namibia
at an unnamed defunct copper mine. At this point in time, the mine seems to
have played out, and because of safety issues there will probably not be any
further exploration for it in the near future.
There also has been small amount of well formed crystallized
specimens found, the finest of which was sold to a shop in Greensboro,
NC, Earth-Songs. The specimen, as of June
of this year, is still on display in the shop area for all to view. MC (said
Mac) and Marie Andersen-Whitehurst are the owners - when they saw this
specimen, they recognized both its beauty and extreme rarity. As an investment
goes, this Quantum specimen has turned out to have been a good one, since no
other specimen from this location has ever come close to being of the Museum
Quality that this specimen is. We still have a limited amount of specimens in
stock for sale, but they are dwindling away quickly, probably never to be
replaced.
Cutting is fairly straightforward, in that this rock can be
slabbed as thin as 5 mm and still holds together. I would recommend slabbing it
at ¼ of an inch if Cabbing is what is being done. 5 mm thin slabs are very nice
for display if they are flat lapped to a high polish, as Quantum cut this thin
is generally light translucent; with a small percentage being transparent much
like Gem Silica.
Once the first cut has been made, I have found the need to
reorient the rock in the saw if I was after certain color patterns that I had
seen in the outer layer of it. Once the cabochon preform is cut out of the slab
and you are ready to start grinding it, I highly recommend using more time and
less pressure than Quartz would normally require. Going too hard or fast can
tear the softer minerals out of the quartz. Diamond is the best to use along
with constant water on the wheels for overall constancy with this stone, as
there are up to 5 variable hardnesses to work with. To shape and form, I found
using 320 grit for the shortest amount of time possible, then switching to 600
grit works nicely. Going to the pre-polish stage as soon as is practical and
taking as much time as is needed in this stage will pay off and get a complete
overall evenness of surface. In the polishing stage, the best results I have
gotten came from a combination of 50% Tin Oxide and 50% Cerium Oxide using soft
leather and keeping it moist, with the last minutes of polishing on a fine dry
felt. A very high gloss polish is possible with Quantum, and should be able to
be attained on most stones cut. Quantum has been cut into Cabochons, Tumbled,
Slabbed, and Carved into Animals, Balls, Eggs, Hearts, Figurines, free form
Contemporary Wave Abstracts in the both the US and at overseas factories.

Richterite (Blue
found with Sugalite) is the stone of rest in one's life, signaling the time of
quiet devotion, contemplation, communion and peace. To honor the gifts of this
stone, it can be consecrated on the old Shabbat (Saturday Sabbath) as a
facilitator of one's desire to let go of the need to conquer, control, build or
amass. We are all one as we blend our tones together without pointing to the
outlines of our skin or culture, sex or faith, intelligence or wealth. This
stone of remembrance awakens the heart/trust knowledge that another person's
wisdom may be the key to unlocking your own.

Mining in Mexico:
A new find in the Sierra Madres
Mountains.
Rainbow Fantasy Jasper in the long history of mining
minerals in Mexico,
the Sierra Madres have been a mineral rich part of this history. From the
conquistador's thirst for Gold to modern day prospector's thirst for gem minerals,
everyone has believed the Mother lode would be found here. Well, for Jasper
lovers everywhere, this has turned out to finally be true. At the Rancho
Colorado Claim, high in the Sierra Madres
Mountains of Mexico
between the State of Jalisco and Durango,
in a highly remote and almost inaccessible part of this vast and rugged
mountain range where Gray Wolf packs and large Black Bear still roam freely,
Rainbow Fantasy Jasper™ has been found. The Jasper ranges in colors from Milk
white, Emerald Green, Fire Engine Red, Coffee and Chocolate Brown to Purple,
Yellow, Pink and Blue. With hidden secrets inside of each nodule or seam, no
two pieces are alike. Each piece can exhibit orbicle eyes, striping, Bull's
eyes, pictures, and sometimes multiples of each within one piece. There seems
to be no method to discern what is in a nodule or seam from outside. We have
cut broken pieces in half that were interlay brown or red from the outside and
found solid red or brown - then cut the two remaining pieces in half again, and
lo and behold, an eye of white with yellow and pink striping running through
the eye would be found. The same holds true for pieces that were all white
outside - after cutting it in half, there lay a mint green eye looking back at
us. As to the seams, a similar scenario where you can see a single color
showing on the thin sides of the seam, grind across the top of the seam where
only matrix is, and a pattern or eye will show in a piece you would be sure
could not be any other color than what the side of the seam showed. As this is
jasper (Sio2), it is a 7 on the Moh's hardness scale, and very tough. As most
cutters of jaspers know, it will take a complete and full glassine polish. We
have found that once the color or pattern you want to show is found, using
Diamond wheels to preform is best. For the best polish we have used tin oxide
on leather.
